Since this is my second nomination, I will not be nominating anyone, but I wanted to take time to answer the questions that were presented.
1) If your hair could talk, what would it say to you?
This could be scary. 🙂
I think it would say
Fierceness pulls those magnetic energies you are meant to draw in.
I may often change out the brown hues, but the spicy red always makes its way through.
2) 5 words that best describe you?
Ambitious, Nurturing, Compassionate, Captivating, and Aloof (at times).
3) Top 3 places you would want to travel to?
I would love to enjoy the scenery of India, Germany (over, and over again), and Colombia
4) How do you deal with sadness?
That is very tricky. I am not sure I can honestly say I have mastered dealing with sadness. I would like to think that when sadness occurs, I try to encapsulate every other moment surrounding me, which in essence, would help me brave the riptides of the sadness that internally drowns me.
5) What’s the first thing you do on hearing happy news?
I text my inner squad.
6) Are you an introvert or an extrovert or somewhere in between?
I am a little in between. I have no problem mingling amongst a group of strangers by trying to make small talk, but I do have a problem when I am the one who is in the front of the room with a room full of strangers. For me, I like to see what others bring to the table, per se, so I feel that is where my extroversion comes through because I love discoursing with others.
7) Your spirit animal would be a ..?
That is a really good one. My daughter used to tell me when she was younger that she felt my spirit animal was a dolphin. Dolphins tend to be social creatures with a playful side to them. They also have a sense of when reliability is needed.
That is me to a fault. I am a social creature by habit. I love to go out and play. I also know that along the way, the playfulness I have will have to be toned down. I am also that person who tends to wear their heart on their sleeve. Not necessarily in the terms of love, but as an overall compassionate person. I am that reliability that, at times, others may need along their journey, and the heart opens for them.
8) Why do you blog?
The feeling of drowning was becoming overwhelming. Each break in my life’s timeline was causing me to become a new person. I needed to heal from each of those breaks and break free from the internal hostage I was keeping myself in. That is when I started to write.
My writing started before cell phones came into play, so I have boxes of napkins, receipts, sticky notes, Polaroid pics of my arm where I wrote my thoughts down with a pen or a sharpie.
And, here we are. Taking each of those compositions and piecing them together.
9) What does the world need right now?
Compassion! Love for humanity
10) Your fave politician? Hahah kidding. OK, your fave music artist?
I don’t quite have a favorite music artist. I love all forms of music. For me, music is love. It’s a way for musicians and their songwriters to experience their own catharsis.
Just like writing is for me.
